Left Sorrento for Florence a little late due to the police giving our bus a ticket. A law passed in June states a bus can’t sit for more than 10 minutes on the street 😑 Maybe load ten suitcases, drive around the block. Repeat until all bags are loaded, then load people. Crazy!
It was a pleasant drive about 6.5 hours with two quick stops and one lunch stop at an Auto Grill. I had a fabulous Greek salad. Finished a book, blogged, and napped on the bus. Stopped for a full tour group picture too.
Arrived at hotel right in front of a nice piazza in Florence. Nicer dinner at upscale hotel restaurant. A wedding reception was happening as well right near us on open roof area. We were inside where it was cooler!
